What are the fees?

An annual fee of $30 per year is deducted in quarterly installments from each CalABLE account. There are also low fees on the underlying investment options plus a state administrative fee.

Some fees are added based on how you use the account:

  • $10 per year for paper statements when you choose to opt out of electronic statements

  • $25 if a transfer fails or check bounces
