How much does it cost to open an account?

There is no fee to open an account. However, you’ll need to make an initial deposit of at least $25 to get started and a $1 minimum for any contribution after that. Additionally, there are some minimal fees that apply to all accounts.

What are the fees?

Are gift-givers charged a fee when they contribute through my page?

There is no fee for transfers from a bank account (ACH). 

Do you charge fees for withdrawing money?

No. There are no fees for withdrawing money.

What are the fees?

An annual fee of $30 per year is deducted in quarterly installments from each CalABLE account. There are also low fees on the underlying investment options plus a state administrative fee.
