Can I contribute money with a credit card?

No. Contributions are primarily made by mailing in a check or by transferring funds into your CalABLE account from a bank account.

Can someone from CalABLE help me pick which investment options to use?

No. We cannot offer or provide financial, investment, or other advice. We have provided descriptions of all investment options on our website and in our Program Disclosure Statement so that you can make an informed decision about which option(s) are best for you.

What if I already receive direct deposit payments from the SSA in a different account?

To switch the account you receive your direct deposits in, you will need to update your settings with the SSA. You can update your deposit settings in your Social Security account here.

In order to complete the process, you will need to update your direct deposit settings with the SSA to provide your account information.

I have set up my account to receive payroll direct deposits, what should I do next?

In order to complete the process, you will need to provide your ABLE account routing information and let them know how much of your paycheck you would like to send to your account. 

This includes: Account Routing Number, Account Number, Account Type and Financial Institution.
